Application Overview

The Smart Athletic Management System (SAMS) is a system which is being developed to provide a smart, viable, and cost effective means of managing sporting activities. The system will handle multiple types of sports, and can be used for high school leagues, city recreation leagues, and more. The system can be used on an individual basis where you just want to keep your own information of game schedules and results. Or it can be used in a group where you can utilize the Internet capabilities to work more closely with the various groups involved with each game you are involed with, either from a coach, player, umpire, athletic director, and/or parent of a player.

Maintain schedule of games

View schedule of games in a calendar format, as well as a list format

Players
Officials (Umpires/Referees)

Maintain schedule of games which you are officiating
Look for games which need umpires so you can take additional games
Document payment for games you have officiated
Receive payment for games worked online
Generate financial reports to help with filling out IRS tax forms

Assign officials to officiate the game
Assign officials to multiple games using the application's "Assigning Officials" algorithm
Receive alerts when games need umpires, so that you can find one
Allow officials to easily find a replacment for their games if they can not make the game
